In the video, Gus was crying and saying, “That’s my dad!” during his father’s speech. Gus, who has been diagnosed with a nonverbal learning disorder, ADHD, and an anxiety disorder, is seen by his family as having a unique strength, which his mother, Gwen Walz, called his “secret power” in an interview with People magazine.

Despite the touching moment, some people mocked the governor’s son. Coulter initially tweeted, “Talk about weird,” but deleted it after learning about Gus’s condition. She later explained that she removed the tweet once she found out he was autistic, but also claimed that Democrats often make similar comments and find it funny.
