Vikings Rookie Khyree Jackson Dies in Maryland Car Accident

The Vikings made the tragic announcement on Saturday that the team’s rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson had died in a car accident in his home state of Maryland.

Saturday, the Maryland State Police said that they are looking into the crash that killed Jackson, Anthony Lytton, Jr., and Isaiah Hazel.

Hazel, Jackson and Lytton were partners at Dr. Henry A. Astute, Jr., Secondary School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

All three of the victims were driving a maroon Dodge Charger, according to a press release from the Maryland State Police. Hazel was driving, Jackson was in the front seat and Lytton was in the back seat of the vehicle.

According to the release, after 3 a.m. on Saturday, troopers responded to a crash and discovered three vehicles involved. A preliminary investigation found that a silver Infinity Q50 struck the Charger, sending it off the road. The Limitlessness Q50 then, at that point, struck a silver Chevrolet Impala.

According to the press release, no injuries were reported by passengers in the Chevrolet Impala and Infinity Q50.

The investigation is being led by the Crash Team of the Maryland State Police.
