Caitlin Clark's Next WNBA Game: How to watch the Indiana Fever vs. Atlanta Dream game tonight

What started as a scary night turned into a win for Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.

The star rookie had an early injury scare, but she and her team managed to beat the Atlanta Dream 84-79 on Monday night. Clark scored 19 points.

Just seven minutes into the game, Clark rolled her left ankle while trying to get through a screen and fell to the floor, screaming in pain. She stayed down for a bit, holding her ankle, but eventually got up and walked to the bench on her own. After getting her ankle checked during a timeout, she stayed on the bench and didn’t go to the locker room.

Luckily, the injury wasn’t serious. Clark returned at the start of the second quarter and even scored on Indiana’s first possession. After the game, Clark joked that the injury wasn’t a big deal and said her ankle just needed some tape.

“It wasn’t that bad,” she laughed.

Aside from Clark’s injury, it was a great night for Indiana. The Fever started the game with an 8-0 run and never gave up the lead. Aliyah Boston dominated inside, and Kelsey Mitchell was outstanding on offense, helping Indiana build a lead as large as 18 points.

Although Atlanta had been one of the best teams since the Olympic break, they struggled on offense in this game. The Dream, who have the lowest points per game and field goal percentage in the WNBA, shot just 37% against Indiana. They made a late comeback in the fourth quarter, cutting the lead to two points and had a chance to tie in the final seconds, but couldn’t score. Indiana is now 3-0 against Atlanta this season.

Kelsey Mitchell led all scorers with 29 points, while Aliyah Boston recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Caitlin Clark’s impact is still huge. The Dream usually play at Gateway Center Arena, which holds 5,000 people. But with Clark and the Fever in town, they moved the game to State Farm Arena, home of the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks, which holds nearly 17,000. The arena was packed, with standing-room-only tickets sold out. The game drew a crowd of 17,608, making it the biggest crowd ever for a Dream game and the largest WNBA crowd in Georgia.
